Born to Punjabi parents, Yashika Aannand made her acting debut after gaining popularity among the public as a model on Instagram. At 14, she first shot for the film Inimey Ippadithan alongside Santhanam but her role was later deleted after she could not attend a song shoot. She later portrayed a one scene role as a swimming instructor in Kavalai Vendam.

Yashika Anand who initially rose to fame through a film named “Iruttu Arayil Murattu Kuththu” was became more popular among Tamil audience through Kamal Haasan hosting reality show “BIGG BOSS Tamil- season 2”. Right from the film to the show the actress constantly caught in controversies for various reasons.

As two of the Bigg Boss seasons were considered as big time entertainment by Tamil audience, the third part part of the show is all set to happen. The promos are getting surfaced constantly in Vijay Television. The show which is to be hosted by Kamal Haasan for the consecutive third time and it is also said that the promo of the show has been shot in a studio in Poonamalle.

Yashika Anand who conducted a live chat session yesterday in twitter was happened to come across a question by one of her follower asking either she is taking part in Bigg Boss season 3 as a contestant. This is when the actress revealed one of the rule of Bigg Boss show. “Be it any contestant who participated in any Bigg Boss show could not take part in the game show as a participant again.” Yashika said.

“There are possibilities for me to get into the show as a guest” she added. Further, one of her follower asked her to act with actor Ajith to which she replied by asking all the Ajith fans in social media to request him to cast her in his movie. “That is the only way for me to get a chance to act with him” Yashika said. The actress also answered to many of the other questions from her followers including a question related to her entry in Politics. She said that “I will definitely enter Politics after my acting career, if I get a chance to get into the Politics, I would definitely do” she said.

Yashika is known for her bold decisions in the Bigg Boss house itself where she was rumoured to have a relationship with her co-contestant Mahat. She is also very much popular for her bold replies to the abusers through her official Instagram account. Yashika has signed an animated movie titled Zombie which also stars Tamil actor Yogi Babu.
