Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise created a revolution among the fans of the Indian cinema industry. They raised voice against the Nepotism in the film industry and made enough warning to senior producers, directors and actors to encourage new talents. They protested by unfollowing popular celebrities such as Karan Johar, Alia Bhatt in social media. It is highly believed that Sushant hanged himself due to depression and 4 out of 7 of his upcoming films were grabbed by senior stars of the Bollywood film industry.

However, the practice of glorifying senior actors didn’t stop in the film industry it seems. Due to the Corona crisis, films which are made from all over the world are getting released in online platforms one by one. Bollywood is planning to release 7 of its highly expected films for OTT release. The seven films includes Akshay Kumar’s Laxmi Bomb, Alia Bhatt’s Sadak 2, Ajay Devgn’s Bhuj, Abhishek Bhachachan’s The Big Bull, Late Sushant Singh Rajput’s Dil Bechchara, Vidyut Jamwal’s Khuda Hafiz and Varun Dhawan’s Coolie No.1.

All these films are scheduled to release in Disney Hotstar Plus online streaming platform. In a way of promoting these films, Disney Hotstar Plus organised a Live session only with actors Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Abhishek Bhachchan and Varun Dhawan. They failed to invite actor Vidyut Jamwal who is known among Tamil audience for his role in Vijay’s Thuppakki and the makers of Sushant’s Dil Bechchare which is a remake of Hollywood epic love drama “Fault in Our Stars”.

Reacting to this post, Vidyut Jamwal who got upset, posted an open statement saying that the “Cycle continue” referring to Sushant’s demise. “A BIG announcement for sure!!” sarcastically wrote Vidyut in his post and added that among the seven films which are scheduled to release, only five of them are deemed worthy of representation. He said two films received neither an invitation nor an intimidation regarding the Live program.

“A BIG announcement for sure!! 7 films scheduled for release but only 5 are deemed worthy of representation. 2 films, receive no invitation or intimation. It’s a long road ahead. THE CYCLE CONTINUES” read the actor’s tweet.

Actress Genelia came in to stretch her supportive hand to Vidyut by saying that what he expects from the distributors is only fair. “But then, sometimes even life is not fair. keep walking my friend” she said to the Anjaan actor.

Actress Gangana Ranaut condemned this act of Disney hotstar plus as well. Now, as the issue received wide attention, fans of Bollywood film industry started comparing Vidyut’s acting skill and his physique with some of the actors who entered the industry through nepotism.
