Many stars have shared their opinion on the entry of Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth in politics. The latest one to join the club is upcoming actress Priya Bhavani Shankar, who is known for her films Meyatha Maan and Kadaikutty Singam.
The actress, in an interview with an entertainment website, voiced some pretty bold statements about political newbies Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan.
She was quoted as saying, “We always expect things from actors. Whatever dialogues they speak on screen, we tend to relate it to their real lives. This is not right. Everyone here is interrelated through politics. If you open Facebook and look at your timeline, you’ll realise politics is something that we all talk about.”
She then added, “Just because two big icons have entered politics, we can’t blindly bank on them. It is not a 2-hour-30-minute film. If they win elections, they have to lead us for five years. I like Kamal Sir and Rajini Sir. I will go to the first day first show of their films. That doesn’t mean my political views will coincide with theirs.”
Priya was last seen in Karthi’s Kadaikutty Singam, in a pivotal role.
Priya started her career as a TV actress and anchor. She turned a lot of heads even as a TV artist and became instantly famous when she made her debut in K-Town with Meyatha Maan.
