A tweet uploaded by Seeman, chief co-ordinator of “Naam Tamizhar Katchi” political party, wishing Sasi kala, former president of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, for her birthday became a subject to massive troll in the micro blogging social media site. His long elaborated tweet which described about the roles of V.K Sasikala in the lives of her husband Mr. Natarajan and former chief minister J.Jayalalitha raised the eyebrows of many of his twitter followers. It is notable that Seeman got severely criticized for meeting Sasikala after she got released from jail.

Seeman is a Tamil nationalist ideologue and is being considered as one of the main faces of the new wave politics in state Tamil nadu. He often grabbed headlines after making controversial statements on Indian social issues. Prior politics, he worked as a filmmaker in Tamil film industry and directed films such as “Thambi”, “Vazhthukkal” etc.

On the evening of Wednesday, the politician came up with a tweet wishing Sasikala on her birthday. “I would like to extend my heartfelt birthday wishes to Sasikala, wife of Tamil nationalist and translator late Sir Nadarasan and the strong supporter of late former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa” said Seeman through his tweet. “மொழிப்போர் வீரர், தமிழ்த்தேசிய பற்றாளர், மறைந்த பெருமதிப்பிற்குரிய ஐயா முனைவர் நடராசன் அவர்களின் துணைவியாரும், மறைந்த முன்னாள் முதல்வர் ஜெயலலிதா அவர்களுக்கு உறுதுணையாக விளங்கியவருமான மதிப்பிற்குரிய அம்மையார் சசிகலா அவர்களுக்கு பிறந்தநாள் வாழ்த்துகள் தெரிவிப்பதில் உளம் மகிழ்கிறேன்” read the tweet of the NTK leader.

Many started making fun of the politician after seeing the tweet as he was wishing an individual who spent four years of jail term after being found as guilty of conspiring, laundering and amassing illicit wealth worth about ₹66.44 crore (equivalent to ₹292 crore in 2019) in the 1990s in a criminal conspiracy with Jayalalithaa.
