It has been almost a year we saw actress Shruti Haasan on screen. She was last seen in Hindi flick Behen Hogi Teri alongside Rajkummar Rao.

The actress recently signed an untitled Hindi film with director Mahesh Manjrekar.

Shruti Haasan has been travelling often and she is currently in London collaborating with artists for a song or an album. The actress took to Twitter and Instagram to share a picture with two collaborators from London.

Little did she know that a simple tweet could get her severely trolled. She was attacked for not condoling legendary writer-politician M Karunanidhi’s death. Many Twitter users criticised her for being ignorant.

One Twitter user wrote, “Lot of issues going here really heartbroken moment for us neenga unga Condolences sollalanulum paravaala ipadi tweet podathinga u r in responsible Position We are watching you (sic)”

It is roughly translated as, “It’s okay even if you don’t post any condolence message, but please refrain from posting about your work at this point in time.”

Many pointed out that even cricketer Suresh Raina and Telugu actors have expressed their sadness over the death of former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu M Karunanidhi.

Another Twitter user wrote, “Do you any sympathy?felt angry while seeing this post in between his condolences please have some common sense (sic)”

It has been nearly 24 hours since the passing away of DMK supremo M Karunanidhi and Shruti is yet to post her condolence message for him.

Meanwhile, her father Kamal Haasan cancelled his Vishwaroopam 2 promotions in Delhi and rushed to Chennai right as news of Karunanidhi’s death broke. Kamal paid his last respects to the DMK leader on Wednesday (August 8) morning at Rajaji Hall.
