Tamil nadu’s newly elected chief minister M.K Stalin visiting the COVID 19 patients at Coimbatore, Erode, Tirupur made the headlines of Sunday. Reports suggests that the Chief minister interacted with the patients and enquired about their health before asking them about the facilities at the hospital. He visited the COVID 19 patients at the Government Erode Medical College Hospital during the Morning of Sunday. Various kind of reactions emerged in the social media platforms after Chief minister made his visit. A tweet of Television anchor Sumanth Raman questioning all patients seated at attention garnered huge attention from the users of Twitter.

During the inspection, Chief minister MK Stalin was accompanied by Health minister Ma Subramanian and Minister for Housing and Urban development S Muthusamy. CM also inaugurated 100 new oxygen beds at Tiruppur Government hospital and launched 50 car ambulances for COVID 19 patients. he reportedly inspected the COVID 19 wards, facilities available for patients, treatment protocols, daily oxygen usages, food provided to the COVID 19 patients.

Sharing the photographs, Stalin said “I entered the COVID ward against advice to reassure doctors and frontline workers who risk their lives besides patients and families. Besides medicine, the comfort and consolation that others provide would cure the disease of the patients” in his tweet. Video of himself visiting the COVID 19 ward by wearing a PPE kit is doing rounds in social media platforms.
