In a shocking incident, a group of Bharatriya Janata Party (BJP) workers on Wednesday, 6 March, thrashed a student during a shoot of a TV news channel’s talk show for speaking against the government.
The incident took place in Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar when journalist Narendra Pratap was anchoring an election talk show for the Hindi news channel ‘Bharat Samachar’. The video, that has gone viral on social media, shows a mob brutally thrashing the student and calling him a terrorist.

The shameful incident took place in UP’s Muzaffarnagar when a journalist was anchoring an election talk show “Mahaul Banaye Rakhiye” for Hindi news channel ‘Bharat Samachar’. The video of the incident has gone viral on social media and shows a group of men brutally thrashing a student and calling him a ‘terrorist’.
Shaded by trees in a lush park, a circle of angry men punched, grabbed and kicked with vicious abandon. “I said there were no jobs,” their breathless victim would tell reporters later.
He said his attackers had called him a “terrorist”, and that they said he was “against the BJP”. Footage shared on Twitter shows that his ordeal began with a cruel irony.

The young man, named by one newspaper as Adnan, complained to a television reporter in Muzaffarnagar about unemployment and the state of education.
he video showed Adnan saying that the present government has failed in providing jobs to the youth, but was soon interrupted and beaten up.

As of now, no official complaint has been filed in the matter and no arrest has been reported.
